Fat cells live in a 3 dimensional collagen matrix in a layer between the skin and the muscles. The aim of liposuction is to remove fat cells. Minimising trauma to the matrix is the secondary goal. This reduces blood loss and scarring.
Vaser liposuction is a tissue selective process that enables fat cell removal and minimal trauma to the matrix. This facilitates extensive intact fat cell removal for a smooth result.
The foundation of Vaser is a special probe that delivers ultrasound to the fat cells. The ultrasound causes the fat cells to vibrate free from the matrix. All the fat. Fat that is superficial to fat that is deep. This uniformly loosened fat layer is now ready for sculpting in the true sense of the word.

HOW TO LIPOSCULPT IN THE MODERN ERA
A sculptor must see the beautiful within the solid medium and do nothing more than carefully remove all that is not.
We begin this process by infiltrating fluid into the fat layer. The fluid contains both anaesthetic and a vasoconstrictor, however the primary purpose is to ‘wet’ the entire layer of fat. This ‘wetting’ procedure is accomplished with a narrow cannula. Fluid is carefully pumped into the fat layer to create a tumescent effect. The fat layer becomes swollen with fluid which allows the next stage of the procedure.
The Vaser probe is introduced to the fluid filled fat layer. The probe emits ultrasound energy causing a high frequency vibration effect. The cavitation results in the fat cells becoming dislodged from the encompassing collagen matrix.
Now that the fat cells have been loosened the final stage is the careful removal of the fat through a metal cannula. Fat is selectively removed to fashion the desired profiles and contours
